Talanta City Sports Stadium, Nairobi Kenya

The newly built Talanta City Sports Stadium in Jamhuri Nairobi is one of the remarkable strides Kenya is making to ensure that the journey of impact is achieved.
Launched for construction by President William Samoei Ruto on March 1, 2024 — the stadium has shown a remarkable phases with works going on 24/7 giving more than 3000+ jobs to Kenyans.
The Talanta Stadium (Talanta Sports City) project in Nairobi is being delivered under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework – specifically using an innovative revenue-backed financing PPP model where private capital is mobilised through infrastructure bonds rather than traditional direct budget funding.
Infrastructure-backed bond financing: The project’s capital (about KSh 44.7–45 billion / ~$340–350 million) is largely funded through a special-purpose vehicle (Linzi FinCo 003 Trust) that issued an infrastructure asset-backed security listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange.
Investors provide upfront capital through this bond, and repayment is structured over time (15 years) against expected future revenues and fund allocations
The modern facility has given Kenya a facelift and positioned Nairobi as a real city giant like Singapore.
During the launching day, President Ruto did some few push-ups before scoring a penalty against the then Cabinet Secretary for Sports,Youth Affairs & Creative Economy Hon. Ababu Namwamba, E.G.H. More stories: https://thesavvyjournalist.blogspot.com/
